Oh hai! Exciting things. Today my lit teacher wrote the remaining days of school on the board in order to create our agenda. 37 days. That doesn't include April vacation, weekends, or days off but my small lit class of nine ('the nimble nine' she calls us) sat there for the last few minutes of class astounded at how little time we really have left. It's crazy. But our teacher told us we have 5 more books to read, which will be interesting. Right now we're reading The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri. Before hand we read The Overcoat by Nikolai Gogol, because the main character Gogol Ganguli is named after him. I'm enjoying the book, it's an easy read. I'm about half way through it. I'm not sure what we're reading next but I went out and bought Will Grayson Will Grayson, the new collab book by John Green and David Levithan. I don't know when I'll get the chance to read it since I have a ton of books I wanna read this summer including, but not limited to:
A Room With A View - E.M Foster (Got for Christmas)
The Story of Edgar Sawtelle - David Wroblewski (I bought this so long ago)
The Likeness - Tana French (I read In The Woods and loved it, but I heard this one wasn't as good)
In A Dark Time - Larry Watson (Montana 1948 was SPECTACULAR)
Two Towers (started) and Return Of The King - J.R.R Tolkien
The Chronicles of Narnia (started) - C.S Lewis
This along with some Agatha Christie and a TON of Shakespeare. Last summer I wanted to read a minimum of 7 books. I finished The Sweet and Far Thing, and then decided to reread Harry Potter and only finished the 5th one just before school started. GRRRRR. At least I have a to-do list. ;]
(I wanna put a countdown here) :/
